Alrighty, folks, the wait is over! Laneway Festival 2025 has officially dropped its lineup, and it’s absolutely cracking. If you thought last year’s was wild, just wait till you see what they’ve cooked up this time.
First up, the brat queen herself, Charli XCX, is heading down under for an exclusive run of shows at Laneway. Yep, Charli’s back, and she’s bringing that iconic party energy with her. Word on the street is that a few landmarks across Australia and New Zealand are going to be lit up brat green in celebration. So, if you see some random green lights, it’s not aliens. Or maybe it is. Who can say?
Who Else is Playing? Oh, Just a Few Legends…
We’ve got the bedroom pop brilliance of Beabadoobee and the smooth stylings of Clairo, both of whom have already graced Laneway stages and are back for another round. Dance fans, this is your moment: BICEP is coming with their new AV DJ show, CHROMA. Then there’s Remi Wolf, who’s ready to bring her quirky alt-pop magic, and Barry Can’t Swim, a rising star of the dance floor scene.
Laneway isn’t just about the headliners, though. This year, 100% of the acts have dropped new music in 2023, and a third of the lineup is making their Aussie debut. If you’re into discovering exciting new artists, this is the festival to be at.
New Faces, Big Vibes
Making their first-ever appearance at Laneway are UK neo-soul sensation Olivia Dean, LA shoegaze powerhouse julie, and the hyperactive hip-hop duo Joey Valence & Brae. Plus, NYC’s hottest band right now, Fcukers, is hitting our shores, along with UK dubstep king Hamdi and mysterious electro-pop artist 2hollis.
Homegrown Heroes
It’s not all international acts, though. Local faves Skegss will be back with a fresh album in tow, and Brisbane’s Girl and Girl will be joining the party. Not to mention cutting-edge electronic acts like RONA., STÜM, and Ninajirachi, who’ll be bringing the heat as well.
Laneway Festival’s Ruby Miles on the Lineup
Festival lineup coordinator Ruby Miles is buzzing about this year’s roster. “This has to be my favourite Laneway lineup we’ve ever put together,” she says. “I’m such a fangirl of all of these artists! Having Charli XCX as our headliner is a dream come true, but the lineup’s depth from gates open until gates close will make Laneway 2025 so special.”
Pre-sale and Exclusive Merch
Pre-sale tickets kick off on Tuesday, 15 October, at 10am local time (shoutout to Afterpay for the hookup), and you’ll have 23 hours to grab those early bird prices before they vanish.
