Looks like Lucy Dacus is serving us all the good news lately—and not just because she’s soft-launching her relationship with bandmate Julien Baker like the queer indie icon she is. She’s also got a shiny new album on the way, a dreamy acoustic out-store set planned for Bristol, and a brand-new single to tide us over until release day.
Dacus’ fourth solo album, Forever is a Feeling, drops 28th March via Geffen Records/Polydor, and if the lush, introspective vibes of her latest single ‘Talk‘ are anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be another heart-hitter. ‘Talk’ joins previously released tracks’ Ankles‘, ‘Limerence‘, and ‘Best Guess‘, and she even gave ‘Ankles’ its TV debut on Fallon earlier this year—wearing custom Rodarte, no less, because of course.
To celebrate the album, Lucy’s playing an intimate acoustic set at Bristol Trinity Centre on June 8th, in partnership with Rough Trade. Bundles and tickets are up for grabs now, so set your alarms, book your train tickets, manifest the serotonin—whatever you need to do to catch it.
Between the stacked tracklist (yes, that is a collab with Hozier on there), a sold-out run of European dates, and the sweet confirmation that the boygenius universe is thriving romantically, 2025 is looking like a peak Lucy Dacus year.
