Sycco, the 22-year-old First Nations artist hailed as “one of Australia’s most promising pop acts” by Vogue, is back with a new single, ‘Swarm.’ Sycco is known to blend elements of psychedelic rock, hyperpop, and electronic dance music, and her latest release does exactly that, capturing the essence of being alone in LA while going through a rough time.
You know that feeling when you’re all caught up in your head after a relationship ends? That’s exactly what Sycco’s ‘Swarm’ is all about. Co-produced by Chrome Sparks, this track dives deep into Sycco’s battle with anxiety and those messy post-breakup emotions. Even though it’s tackling some heavy stuff, ‘Swarm’ keeps the vibe optimistic and upbeat, which provides a gorgeous contrast.
Speaking about the track, Sycco shares, “‘Swarm’ was the first song I made when I went to LA for the first time on my own. I had recently broken up with my girlfriend of three years, and I hadn’t really processed any of it. Lyrically, ‘Swarm’ is about my anxiety and how I let it get in the way of things that are important to me.”
Accompanying the single is a funky fish-eyed music video. Watch it below.
Catch Sycco live at her upcoming shows in NYC and LA, where she’ll bring good vibes and even better tunes to the stage. For tickets and more information, visit www.syccoworld.com.
