Horns at the ready, people, because Vended just dropped a track that’s anything but serene. The Des Moines metal crew have released ‘Serenity,’ a blistering new single from their much-anticipated debut album, set to drop on September 20th. Trust me, this track will peel the paint off your walls.

Vended aren’t here to play nice. With a reputation for relentless energy and ferocity, this latest offering takes the bands’ music to the next level. ‘Serenity’ is a gut punch of a track that channels all the anger, frustration, and raw emotion you’d expect from a band that’s unapologetically carving its path in modern metal.
Griffin Taylor, the band’s frontman, is channelling his dad, Corey Taylor (yep, the Slipknot legend), with a vocal performance that’s pure rage. If you close your eyes during the clean vocals, you might think it’s Corey himself.

I’m numb to all of the pleasures
I’m dying in reverse…”
The video, directed by Derek Rathbun, brings the chaos to life. It’s the perfect preview of what’s to come on their self-titled debut album – a record Taylor describes as filling the void in today’s music scene. As he puts it, “There’s a level of aggression and emotion that’s missing from music right now, and we aim to fill that void on this album. It represents everything that Vended are about. ‘Fuck your ignorance, just grab a hold of it.’ You’re either with us or against us. Vended is a unit aimed at world domination, and this album is the first step. Welcome to Vended.”
Produced by Chris Collier (KORN), the album packs 13 tracks of pure, unfiltered fury, including previous singles like ‘Am I the Only One,’ ‘The Far Side,’ and ‘Nihilism.’ If you’ve been yearning for something to restore your faith in the metal scene, this is it.
