Charly Bliss, the indie pop sensation that’s got us all swooning, just dropped their latest single ‘Waiting For You‘ from their upcoming album Forever. Set to release on August 16th via Lucky Number, this album promises to be a beauty.
Eva Hendricks, the band’s dynamo frontwoman, describes ‘Waiting For You’ as a love song for her bandmates. “During the pandemic, I was separated from Sam, Spencer, and Dan. Watching videos of our past performances, I realised how much I had taken for granted. Being apart was agonising, but it reminded me never to forget the beauty of what we have.”
The music video, directed by the talented Henry Kaplan, is chock-full of personal Charly Bliss Easter eggs—think Sam’s daughter’s first school photo and childhood T-shirts. It’s as nostalgic and heartfelt as the lyrics themselves.
Forever is produced by Jake Luppen (Hippo Campus) and Caleb Wright (Samia), alongside the band’s very own Sam Hendricks. This album is brimming with the band’s signature power pop but with an evolved sound that hits all the right notes. The songs are like fireworks—explosive and mesmerising.
