Independent French developer Motion Twin, the team behind the hit Dead Cells, is back with a brand-new rogue-lite action game, Windblown, now available in Early Access on Steam. If fast-paced gameplay, explosive attacks, and vibrant visuals are your thing, this one’s for you.
The game offers both solo play and up to three-player online co-op, so you can enjoy Windblown solo or grab a couple of mates to dash through its five unique biomes, each packed with secrets and gnarly enemies. You’ll have access to 15 weapons, along with random weapon mods, heaps of upgrades, and quirky items like Magifish (yep, fish with magical abilities). Oh, and if you’re something of a masochist, there’s a post-completion difficulty modifier to really bring the pain.
Windblown’s Early Access will be updated with new biomes, weapons, and other features planned based on player feedback. So, if you’ve got thoughts or ideas, now’s your chance to shape the future of the game.
If you jump into Windblown between now and November 8th, 2024, you’ll unlock the exclusive Intern skin, a cheeky nod for Dead Cells fans. If you played the limited-time demo during Steam Next Fest, your Guinea Pig skin and progress will carry over into the full release.
