Dream Theater fans, are you ready? You better be because Parasomnia is coming! The progressive metal legends will release their sixteenth studio album on February 7th, 2025. This album is extra special because it marks the return of the band’s iconic lineup—James LaBrie, John Petrucci, John Myung, Jordan Rudess, and Mike Portnoy—reuniting for the first time since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings. It’s been a long wait, but it’s finally happening.
The first single, ‘Night Terror,’ has already dropped, giving us a sneak peek into what the upcoming record has to offer. If you love those classic Dream Theater epic soundscapes, you’ll be all over this track. It’s nearly 10 minutes of pure prog heaven. You can check out the music video below:
Parasomnia is packed with 71 minutes of intricate melodies and powerhouse performances. The tracklist includes titles like ‘A Broken Man,’ ‘Dead Asleep,’ and ‘Bend the Clock,’.
Produced by John Petrucci and mixed by Andy Sneap, the album features artwork from long-time collaborator Hugh Syme. With that pedigree, you know the whole package will be as good as it gets.
