Joel Sunny Announces Debut Sydney Headline Show

Sydney-via-Manchester violinist Joel Sunny is proving that classical instruments can have just as much pop star appeal as guitars and synths.

The 23-year-old virtuoso has announced his debut headline show in Sydney next February as part of his global Star-bound Lovers tour. Oh, and the rest of the tour? Already sold out.

With over 300 million streams under his belt and a social media following of 4 million, Joel’s meteoric rise has been anything but quiet. His breakout single Luminary didn’t just top charts—it became a bona fide anthem.

Joel’s music isn’t your standard instrumental fare. Drawing inspiration from Lana Del Rey, 2010s pop, and the lush soundtracks of the ’60s and ’70s, his violin melodies are more like emotional vocal lines. Think decadent drama, cinematic flair, and just enough modern pop sensibility to make it fresh.

Having wowed audiences at SXSW Sydney in October, his live performances have been described as immersive, emotional journeys.

The Star-bound Lovers tour promises to turn those cinematic sounds into a full-scale experience.

Don’t miss the Sydney show!

Joel’s Sydney headline debut at Pitt Street Uniting Church on 28th February 2025 marks the start of this extraordinary tour.
