Here’s one for your “why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?” file: Egging On, the debut game from indie developer Egobounds, has officially been picked up by new publisher Alibi Games! In what’s being billed as a tough-as-nails (or maybe I should say shells?) climbing game, Egging On puts you in the yolky centre of a delicate, realistic egg, challenging players to balance precision and patience as they try to navigate treacherous climbs.
If you’re a fan of games like Getting Over It or Only Up, this one’s going to crack you up in more ways than one. Known for pushing players to their limits with its unforgiving physics, Egging On is about staying in control of your fragile shell while scaling some truly ridiculous heights. One wrong move, and…well, you can imagine what happens to an egg in free fall! It’s Humpty Dumpty time.
The game has already racked up quite the attention at international award showcases like SXSW Australia and Indie Dev Day. On top of that, the announcement video has gone viral, gathering over 5 million views across social platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. Plus, with over 25,000 wishlists on Steam, this eggy adventure is hatching a lot of interest ahead of its release.
