ĠENN is a dynamic and exciting queer band made up of four talented musicians: Janelle Borg on guitars, Sofia Rosa Cooper on drums, Leona Farrugia on vocals, and Leanne Zammit on bass. With roots in Malta and Brighton, the band combines musical influences from their Anglo-Maltese background with Jamaican and Portuguese influences to create a unique sound that is sure to get you moving.
ĠENN recently released their new single, titled ‘Rohmeresse‘. On the song, vocalist Leona Farrugia said they wanted to capture thoughts of pressure and dissociation that come with modern life. The track is a dynamic, shape-shifting song that moves seamlessly through different musical influences and sounds, making it an exciting and compelling listen.
Along with the new single, ĠENN has also been announced as the opening act for Pussy Riot’s UK tour. Other upcoming shows include headline dates in Bristol, London, and Brighton.
