It’s been five years since Sylvan Esso graced UK shores, but the wait is finally over as they announce their return for an extra show at London’s Electric Brixton on 6th July 2023. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 am here.
The musical duo of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn have released their fourth album, ‘No Rules Sandy,’ to critical acclaim, offering an emotional journey through pop and electronic music. Created over three weeks in Los Angeles at the beginning of 2022, this is Sylvan Esso’s fastest album to date and the pair’s most frenetic production yet.
The album contains singles ‘Sunburn‘, ‘Didn’t Care‘, ‘Your Reality‘ and standout track ‘Echo Party‘. Featuring additional recordings from their own Betty’s studio in Chapel Hill, NC, plus contributions from drummer TJ Maiani, string arrangements by Gabriel Kahane and saxophone from Sam Gendel, No Rules Sandy is a vibrant collection of sonic diary entries.
Speaking of the record, Sanborn says, “I want everything to feel like something you’ve heard before but presented in a way you’ve never heard.“
