Australian electronic music producer Flume has released a new track, ‘Slugger,’ to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his self-titled debut album.
The track, which has been hiding on Harley Streten’s hard drive for the past ten years, is an infectious mix of Flume’s signature style with a healthy dose of hard-hitting beats. It will get stuck in your head after just a few listens. And if you’re lucky enough to be attending one of his upcoming live shows, you’ll be able to hear it performed live for the first time.
Flume says, “Made this one in Paris, always loved this demo but it never quite made it onto an album. I figured now that it’s 10 years since my first album was released it would be a good time to share. Hope you like it x”.
Flume is one of our generation’s most influential electronic music producers, and ‘Slugger’ is a perfect example of why. This track is a decade in the making, and it indeed shows the immense talent and dedication that Flume has poured into his craft. So if you’re a fan of electronic music or just good music, do yourself a favour and check it out below – you won’t be disappointed.
