It’s been a wild ride, but all good things must come to an end. Jodie Whittaker’s time as the iconic Time Lord will soon end, with her final episode set to air on Sunday, October 23. However, before she regenerates into the next Doctor, there’s one last adventure waiting for her – and it looks like it will be a doozy.
The full trailer for The Power of the Doctor has just been released, and it looks like Sacha Dhawan’s The Master is up to no good. In the foreboding trailer, The Master says: “Hello Doctor, welcome to the end of your existence” before we witness a sequence of devastation with Daleks and Cybermen attacking Earth. We then glimpse Jodie’s regeneration as she calls out for Yaz in fear. Yikes!
A plethora of familiar faces will appear in the Thirteenth Doctor’s final episode, including Tegan (Janet Fielding), Ace (Sophie Aldred), Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave), and Vinder (Jacob Anderson). For the last hurrah, they will partner with The Doctor and Yaz (Mandip Gill).
Ncuti Gatwa, best known for his role in Sex Education, will play the title character of the Doctor. With this said, 2023 also marks Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary series of specials with Russell T Davies returning to the show.
It will be an action-packed adventure for The Doctor and her friends, so be sure to tune in on Sunday, October 23 at 7 pm BST on BBC One to see how it all ends. We have a feeling it’s going to be pretty emotional.
