Flint, Michigan heavy-hitters KING 810 are set to release their latest EP, ‘K5: follow my tears‘ on January 23rd. Boasting a range of topics, from digital technocracy to personal struggles, the band shows no signs of slowing down in 2023.
The album opens with the single ‘Brains On The Asphalt‘, as frontman David Gunn’s raw vocal delivery reveals the concept of tech gods controlling our lives and how we hate ourselves. Not only that, but Gunn himself directed the video for an extra layer of emotional intensity. Watch the video below.
KING 810 have been on a rampage since the release of their last full-length studio album ‘AK Concerto No. 47, 11th Movement In G Major’ back in November 2020, with singles such as ‘Hellhounds’, ‘Dukes’ and ‘Love Under Will’.
The band are set to embark on a tour of Europe this April in support of the EP alongside Alpha Wolf. Tour dates have been confirmed for Germany, Netherlands, France, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and the UK.
Gunn had this to say about their choice of releasing an EP instead of a full-length album: “Over the past year, I have been mentally unstable. My intentions have not been as focused as they are typically. This wasn’t obvious until I reviewed the fifty songs we wrote over the last couple of years, and only then did I realize there wasn’t the concept of a whole record here. Instead, the songs played as smaller groups of frenzied schizophrenic fits. So it’s likely we will come with several EPs over the year, because of this. I don’t think of it as any less of a release; it just feels like the best way to deliver the songs.“
