It’s time for some colourful chaos in the afterlife! Indie narrative label Fellow Traveller and Galla Games have just announced that Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is making its way to Xbox Series X|S as a Day One Game Pass title. Already confirmed for PC and Nintendo Switch, this charming 3D adventure is shaping up to be a must-play.
Meet Kulebra, a dead snake with a heart of gold
In Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, you’ll find yourself exploring Limbo—an afterlife where souls are stuck reliving the same day on repeat, haunted by unresolved regrets. You play as Kulebra, a snake who’s inexplicably wholesome. Your mission? To uncover the secrets of Limbo’s oddball residents and figure out your purpose in this bizarre new world.
With vibrant visuals and a unique cast of characters, the game offers a heartfelt yet humorous journey through life, death, and everything in between.
From the Dominican Republic to the World
Developed by Galla Games—a two-brother team from the Dominican Republic, now based in Illinois—Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo has been in the works since 2014. Thanks to support from the Xbox Diversity Fund, which aims to uplift underrepresented creators, the game is finally coming to Xbox.
Want a sneak peek? The demo is live now on Xbox as part of the Xbox Indie Game Fest Demo Event, running from the 10th to the 31st of December. You can also catch Galla Games in action during the Latin American Games Showcase at 4 PM PT on 10 December.
Don’t miss out!
Whether you’re an Xbox enthusiast or a Steam loyalist, there’s no excuse to skip this one. The demo will remain available after the Indie Fest event, giving you plenty of time to explore Limbo before the full release.
Stay unruly, folks!
