Ravenswood & Friends For Eat Or Heat is back, and it’s bringing the party straight to Walthamstow’s industrial heart for another year of big beats and even bigger generosity. On the 1st of March, this beloved community bash is taking over Ravenswood Industrial Estate once again to raise funds for Eat Or Heat, the local food bank making sure no one in East London goes hungry. Last year, they pulled in a whopping £18,000, and with your help, they’re aiming even higher this time.
The lineup is stacked. We’re talking DJ royalty here. DJ Hype, lau.ra, former Haçienda resident Dave Haslam, the legendary X-Press 2, and BBC 6 Music’s Nemone, to name a few. Plus, a massive roster of local talent ready to keep Walthamstow dancing from 2 PM till midnight. Whether you’re into drum & bass, acid, or just vibing to something unexpected, there’s a set for you.
This year, the event is expanding beyond Ravenswood, with Wood St Bear joining the party alongside stalwart venues like Pillars Brewery, Real Al, Blitz Factory, God’s Junkyard, and Mother’s Ruin. It’s all about bringing the community together, one pint and one bass drop at a time.
Best part? It’s completely FREE. No ticket, no hassle. Just turn up, enjoy the tunes, and, if you can, chuck in a few quid for a great cause. Donations are highly encouraged (cash, card, or an enthusiastic wave of your phone over a contactless machine). Kids are welcome until 7 PM, so bring the fam for an afternoon boogie before things get a little more, shall we say, bass-heavy.
