The excitement continues to build for Awkward Branches, the new project from singer and keyboardist Mike Barrett and close collaborator and guitarist Phil Swan. The duo, who first met while working at a wedding chapel, have finally put a name to their years of recording sketches and creating dreamy soundscapes – and they’re kicking things off with the release of their debut single ‘A Frame (Not a Window).’
The track is a tranquil ode to trust, faith, and even dogs. Driven by bouncy acoustic guitar and lush synths, it’s accompanied by a charming animated video created by Mike Barrett himself.
