Bloodstock 2025 is officially a go, and they’ve just dropped a massive bombshell: 19 bands have been announced, including all three headliners. So, metalheads, start marking your calendars for 7th-10th August 2025 at Catton Park, Derbyshire—this is going to be one hell of a ride.
Meet the Headliners: Trivium, Machine Head, and Gojira
Kicking off Friday night, the UK’s adopted riff gods, Trivium, will take the main stage by storm. Frontman Matthew K Heafy is pumped, saying,
“We’ve always said that the UK is a second home to Trivium. It’s where our band really took root way back in 2005 and our relationship with it has only grown deeper over time. Our headline set will span our entire 20-year history and we’ll also celebrate ‘Ascendancy‘ by bringing both the music and art to life. Bloodstock is the home of heavy metal in the UK and we’re thrilled to once again be called upon to headline it along with two long time friends. We promise you this will be the biggest and best Trivium set you have ever seen!”
Saturday keeps the momentum with none other than Machine Head. Robb Flynn is ready to bring the heat, reminiscing about their legendary 2022 Sophie Lancaster Stage performance. “We honestly couldn’t be more stoked about hitting the stage at one of our favourite festivals to play. Bloodstock will forever hold a special place in our blackened hearts after our, now legendary, not-so-secret-secret-show on the Sophie Lancaster Stage back in 2022. That show, which marked our return to the live arena post-pandemic, was one of the hottest, wildest and most intense shows we’ve ever played on UK shores and we now want to recreate that magic again, and take it even higher in August 2025. Bloodstock, get ready because Machine F**ckin’ Head is coming to town and we want to see all you Head Cases lose it! BEERS UP!”
Sunday night is set to be equally epic, with Gojira closing out the festival. Fresh off their gold-medal performance at the Olympics opening ceremony, Joe Duplantier promises, “It’s gonna be brutal!” And really, does anyone doubt that? Nah.
Sophie Lancaster Stage Headliners and More
Not stopping at the main stage, Bloodstock also unveiled all the Sophie Lancaster stage headliners. Thursday night will see Nergal’s dark and captivating side project, Me and That Man. Canadian death metal giants Kataklysm will wrap up Friday’s chaos. Saturday belongs to the iconic Static-X, and Obituary will close out Sunday with their signature Floridian death metal vibes.
Adding even more firepower, special guests on the Ronnie James Dio Stage include black metal titans Emperor, the gothic splendour of Lacuna Coil, and the unmissable Orange Goblin, among others. With horror punks Creeper and metalcore crushers Kublai Khan TX also in the mix, Saturday’s lineup is shaping up to be a mosh pit’s dream.
