If you’re looking for a powerful and honest sonic experience, look no further than Sharon Kovacs’ third album, ‘Child of Sin‘. After two years of pandemic fears and lockdown threats, this artist has returned with her boldest record yet – completely authentic and full of unexpected delights.
The album stands out for its sheer diversity, from bass-heavy bangers to delicate ballads; each song presents a unique challenge to Kovacs, who often sings the vocals on the first take.
Of course, one of the most notable collaborations on this record is Kovacs’ duet and the title track with Rammstein’s Till Lindemann.
Kovacs adds: “During the writing of “Child of Sin,” I immediately thought of Till. I wanted it to be a duet. The message is loud and clear, because you seldom hear a male and a female voice team up to bring a story to a song. We shot the video in November 2022; that was the icing on the cake! Working with Till was a learning process for me. I feasted my eyes on every detail: a huge-ass set, 30 people working on a big short film. People really seem to believe in the song, the collaboration, and the message. It seems to touch them, which delights me to no end.”
Child of Sin effortlessly demonstrates Kovacs’ growth as an artist and her passion for creating meaningful art. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or someone just getting to know Sharon Kovacs, this album will inspire you. Stream it here for an experience like no other.
