OneRepublic are heading back to Australia and New Zealand in February 2026, announcing a full arena run for ‘The Sweet Escape’ Tour, following their sold-out shows across the region in 2023.
And yes, they’re bringing backup. Swedish pop heavyweight Zara Larsson will join the tour as special guest, marking her first-ever tour of Australia and New Zealand, which feels overdue in the most ” how has this not happened yet?” way.

The tour kicks off in Auckland before rolling through major cities across Australia, including a Perth stop at RAC Arena.

Why This Tour Is a Big Deal (Even If You Forgot How Many Hits They Have)
Fronted by Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic have been quietly unavoidable for nearly two decades. Since their 2007 debut, they’ve racked up over 5 billion Spotify streams, largely thanks to songs you probably know by heart whether you meant to or not.
‘Counting Stars’.
‘Apologize’.
‘I Ain’t Worried’ from Top Gun: Maverick.
More recently, they’ve stayed culturally slippery, popping up everywhere from anime end credits to European football anthems. Their 2024 album Artificial Paradise added another batch of arena-ready tracks, and earlier this year they teamed up with Kygo on ‘Chasing Paradise’, because of course they did.
This tour is very much a victory lap, but also a reminder of how good they are at this specific thing: writing songs that sound enormous in a room full of people.
Zara Larsson Finally Tours Down Under
Zara Larsson joining the tour feels like a smart move rather than a token opener slot. Her 2017 debut, So Good, remains one of the most-streamed debuts by a female artist on Spotify, and her catalogue is stacked with pop tracks that thrive in big venues.
For Australian and New Zealand fans, this is her first proper chance to take up space on local stages, and honestly, it is about time.
TLDR;
- OneRepublic return to Australia and New Zealand with ‘The Sweet Escape’ Tour in February 2026
- Zara Larsson joins as special guest on all dates, marking her Down Under tour debut
- Tour includes Auckland, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth
- Presales begin 28 May, general tickets on sale 30 May
- Expect wall-to-wall hits, big pop energy, and very full rooms
If you are into polished pop-rock, massive choruses, or just want a night where everyone around you knows every word, this one will sell fast.
Stay unruly.
