Ghostface Killah does not disappoint. ‘Set The Tone’ represents his first full-length endeavour in half a decade, a period punctuated by guest appearances that have tantalised fans with glimpses of his brilliance. Anchored by the previously released single ‘YUPP!‘ featuring Remy Ma, this album takes it back to Ghostface’s roots.
One of the album’s standout tracks, ‘Scar Tissue,’ featuring the incomparable Nas, is a credit to Ghostface’s continuing impact. It’s a reunion that sends ripples through the hip-hop community, recalling their iconic partnership on Raekwon’s debut, ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx,’ released over a quarter-century ago.
