The Vaniers share nostalgic single ‘Painted Town’

Toronto rock trio The Vaniers dive into their early 2000’s post-Britpop, acid funk, and electronica roots with their new single, ‘Painted Town.

This track’s vibe is straight out of the FIFA footy anthems that had us all glued to the telly back in the day. It kicks off with a pulsating piano line, thanks to a Hammond Cadet organ that bassist/vocalist Diego Paz had stashed away in his basement.

‘Painted Town’ is your new go-to pump-up jam—it’s all about getting you hyped and ready for whatever’s next. There’s a heavy dose of nostalgia, too, a nod to the tunes that shaped their childhood and, unknowingly, their future as musicians.

Guitarist Alex Iacobellis put it perfectly: “You could say this song was written for our 10-year-old selves, sitting in front of the TV with the volume way up.”
