British singer-songwriter Willie J Healey has released his latest single ‘Thank You’, featuring the talented Jamie T. The track comes from the forthcoming album Bunny, set for release on 25th August 2023 via YALA Records.
Willie J Healey has once again demonstrated why he is one of the most exciting prospects in British music today. ‘Thank You’ sees Healey showcase his effortless songwriting style by combining funky, soulful sounds with his signature dry British humour. It’s giving big “have the day you deserve” energy.
When asked about the collaboration, Willie said, “I was tired and flat and didn’t know what to make, and then my friend Jamie said ay Willie I’ve got this drum machine it might inspire you.. I picked it up and wrote ‘Thank You’ the next day, it was my way of thanking Jamie for being a good friend. I dedicate it to anyone trying to do their own thing.“
Willie J Healey is set to embark on a worldwide tour this year, with special guest appearances supporting Florence + The Machine in the UK and Arctic Monkeys across Europe. As well as a run of Acoustic Inside shows from 25th August to 31st, playing Rough Trade East in London, Sound Knowledge in Marlborough and more.
