Wild Pink’s new album, ILYSM, will be released this Friday, October 14th, on Royal Mountain Records. The album has received widespread critical acclaim and is eagerly anticipated by fans, who have praised the band’s inventive style and distinctive songwriting.
In the days before the album’s release, the band shared a final single, ‘The Grass Widow In The Glass Window,‘ featuring guitarist Yasmin Williams.
John Ross says: “This song was inspired by a huge dead hardwood tree that had golden oyster mushrooms growing all over it (thanks to Peter Silberman for the Mycology lesson). It was one of the last songs I wrote for the album and I wanted to try some new ideas. Yasmin Williams’ guitar at the end is one of my favorite parts of the whole album.”
The band will embark on a worldwide tour starting tomorrow, October 12th, in Boston. Full tour dates are as follows:
