The debut title from indie studio Sandfall Interactive, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has some serious star power with its voice cast, featuring none other than Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings) and Charlie Cox (Daredevil). This ambitious turn-based RPG is set to land on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (including Xbox Game Pass), and PC (Steam and Epic Games) in Spring 2025, with a new trailer revealing the gameplay and character voices. Watch it below:
Let’s talk about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, shall we? It’s a reactive turn-based combat system and narrative-driven adventure where your mission is to put an end to the cruel reign of the Paintress.
Charlie Cox voices Gustave, a devoted engineer who’s risking it all. Andy Serkis plays Renoir, a battle-hardened leader. Joining them are Jennifer English (Baldur’s Gate III) as the curious loner Maelle, Kirsty Rider (The Sandman) as the determined scholar Lune, and Shala Nyx (The Old Guard) as the serene warrior Sciel.
The story doesn’t stop there. Ben Starr (FINAL FANTASY XVI) lends his voice to Verso, an enigmatic stranger following the Expedition with unclear motives. And if that wasn’t enough, more talent comes from Rich Keeble (Good Omens), Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate III), and Maxence Cazorla (Ineffable).
The game will also come with physical editions, thanks to partnerships with Maximum Entertainment and Bandai Namco Entertainment for releases in different regions.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is gearing up for an exciting release in 2025, and we can’t wait to see what this new world has in store.
