Looking to support empathy education in schools across Ireland and beyond, the Irish-American Partnership has funded the production of ‘Ionbhá: The Empathy Book for Ireland‘, an essential collection of essays, stories, and poems on empathy by some of Ireland’s most prominent figures.
Actor Cillian Murphy and Professor Pat Dolan, Director of the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre at NUI Galway, are two of the book’s key contributors, along with Hozier, The Edge, Imelda May, and many others. These influential figures share their thoughts on empathy and offer inspiring examples of how we can activate this critical concept in our everyday lives.
“We need empathy in schools just as we need empathy in the world right now,” said actor Cillian Murphy.
