The big sell? Gameplay “overhauled based on community feedback.” Which is EA-speak for: we actually read Reddit for once.
This year, you’ve got two main presets:
- Authentic Gameplay — the “proper footy” mode for Career obsessives who want realism right down to the halftime orange slices.
- Competitive Gameplay — built for FUT sweats and Clubs grinders who want frame-perfect stepovers while screaming at their mates in party chat.
Other “new new” bits:
- Archetypes — basically RPG classes for your players, so yes, you can finally roll a tank-defender who exists purely to ruin vibes.
- Manager Live Challenges — throwing curveballs like “half your squad has gastro” or “the board wants TikTok dances mid-season.”
- A refreshed Ultimate Team, because of course that cash cow’s still mooing.
Mobile footy: now with extra sparkle
FC Mobile 26 isn’t just a lazy patch. It’s got slicker controls, 100+ new Star Heads, and fan-voted Anniversary Event rewards. So, if your fave made it in, that’s democracy in action, babes.
And in peak 2025 crossover energy, Mobile players can literally stream live MLS games inside the app.
The licence flex: still undefeated
Let’s be real: the licences are still what make this series throb. 20,000+ players. 750+ clubs. 130 stadiums. 35+ leagues. From the Premier League to the Frauen-Bundesliga, plus UEFA’s buffet of Champions, Europa, and Conference action.
