Good news, Heartstopper fans! Production for the show’s much-anticipated second season is officially underway, and Netflix has revealed some new cast members.
Heartstopper is based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels of the same name. The coming-of-age story follows Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) as they navigate the beautifully awkward moments of school, first loves and queerness.
When it arrived on Netflix, the show was an instant hit, with viewers watching 23,940,000 hours during its first week.
It received critical acclaim for its diverse cast and wholesome representation of the LGBTQ+ community, something we rarely get. As a result, it was quickly greenlit for both a second and third season.
So, without further ado, let’s look at all the new cast members revealed for Season 2 of Heartstopper!
A slew of new characters will appear in the program, with Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, a Higgs student. In addition, Jack Barton will play Nick’s older brother, David Nelson.
Nima Taleghani will portray teacher Mr Farouk, and Bradley Riches will be back in a new role as Truham student James McEwan.
The release date for season 2 is yet to be confirmed, but you can stream Heartstopper on Netflix while you’re waiting.
