British artist Konyikeh is back with a fresh single, ‘Sit Down’, out now. Known for hits like ‘Sorrow’ and ‘Teenage Dreams’, this track marks a new phase for the Londoner.
After touring with Sam Smith and Tems and making waves with her debut EP Litany, Konyikeh’s returned, teaming up with Brixton-based producer Srigala to cook up a tune full of guitar, violin, and raw emotion. It’s soulful but also fun, capturing that awkward tension in relationships—from a girlfriend feeling out of place to a boyfriend stuck in the middle.
Konyikeh wrote Sit Down during lockdown, drawing inspiration from rom-coms and making it a cheeky take on a totally relatable situation.
