Tag Team, But Make It Marvel
The roster for Marvel Cosmic Invasion just got a serious glow-up. Publisher Dotemu and devs Tribute Games have pulled back the curtain on two fresh fighters joining the tag-team brawler:
- Black Panther — Wakanda’s forever king, rocking his vibranium suit, sonic daggers, and martial arts precision sharp enough to make even Captain America wince.
- Cosmic Ghost Rider — imagine Frank Castle, but juiced with vengeance, a flaming Hell cycle, and zero chill. Yes, he’s here to drag chains across the galaxy in the name of punishing literally everything.
Both characters have been revealed in a new gameplay trailer, complete with slick hand-drawn animations that pay tribute to Marvel’s comic book golden eras.
Thanos? Meet Chaos.
Voice actors James Mathis III (returning as T’Challa) and Brian Bloom (lending his grit to Ghost Rider) bring the pair to life as they dive into a star-spanning fight against Annihilus and his galaxy-killing Annihilation Wave. The game’s pitch is pure Saturday-morning-cartoon-on-steroids: bash your way from NYC’s streets to the Negative Zone, swapping between two heroes mid-fight with the Cosmic Swap system.
Expect explosive combos, weirdly satisfying team-ups (Storm + Rocket Raccoon, anyone?), and just enough pixel-art nostalgia to make you wish arcades never died.
Co-op Carnage
- Up to four-player local/online co-op, with drop-in/drop-out chaos.
- Crossplay support, so your mates can stop pretending they can’t join because they’re on the wrong console.
- Accessibility options that mean anyone can join the fight, whether you’re a button-masher or a combo scientist.
So far, the lineup includes Cap, Wolverine, Spidey, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, Nova, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Beta Ray Bill, Silver Surfer — and now Black Panther and Cosmic Ghost Rider. That leaves just two mystery fightersleft before the full 15-character roster is revealed. Place your bets, nerds.
