Scrabdackle Brings Scribbly Wizard Chaos to Six One Indie Showcase

Hand-drawn spells, doodle bosses, and a magical mess worth getting lost in

Scribbles, Spells, and Shenanigans

Indie dev Jake (aka jakefriend) has dropped back into our lives with Scrabdackle. This hand-animated wizarding adventure looks like someone turned your childhood sketchbook into a fully playable RPG. And we mean that in the best possible way.

Debuting in today’s Six One Indie Showcase, Scrabdackle’s shiny new trailer (plus a special dev segment with Jake himself) shows off the game’s messy magic in action: a novice wizard named Blue gets booted from the academy and chucked headfirst into a sprawling, dangerous world. Cue curious critters, bosses that will definitely chew you up before spitting you out, and more secrets than your average high school group chat.

Big Adventure, Scribbly Package

This isn’t a “tiny little indie demo” situation either. Act 1 alone clocks in at 12–15 hours of content — that’s basically a full RPG, just for starters. Acts 2 and 3 are already on the horizon, planned as free updates, so the story (and the doodle carnage) is only going to expand from here.

Expect:

  • Exploration — wander a vast, hand-drawn world that feels alive in its scribbles
  • Challenge — tough-but-fair bosses that’ll make you yell “just one more try”
  • Charm — pure joy baked into every goofy animation and doodle detail
