Oi, Unruly Folk! Get ready for some serious headbanging because (Hed) P.E. is hitting the road in support of their new album, DETOX. The tour kicks off on Aug 10th at Franklin Farms in Snohomish, Washington, and it’s gonna be wild!
For those of you who don’t know, (Hed) P.E. hails from Huntington Beach, California, and has been around since 1994. Frontman Jahred Gomes started the band with the brilliant idea of blending punk rock with G-funk-inflected hip hop, creating their unique “G-punk” sound. They really hit the big time in the early 2000s with albums like Broke and Blackout.
Fast forward to 2023, and they’ve dropped DETOX, which debuted at #1 on Apple iTunes. This album was recorded at Jahred’s private studio, with some extra magic from Remy Dovianus and mixing/mastering by the legendary Ulrich Wild (think Pantera, Deftones, Static-X). The result?
