Joel Sunny’s ‘Star-bound Lovers’ EP Lands with a Cinematic Bang

Violinist, producer, and all-around sonic world-builder Joel Sunny has officially released Star-bound Lovers, a three-track EP that feels like he plucked it straight from the soundtrack of a film that doesn’t exist yet.

Leading the charge is ‘Last Dance,’ a sweeping, emotional closer that ties together the EP’s grand storytelling. And because Joel doesn’t do things halfway, there’s a music video to match, putting his gift for visual storytelling on full display.

Big Tunes, Bigger Tour

Joel Sunny is an Indian-born, Manchester-raised, Sydney-based artist who treats the violin like it’s got a voice of its own. It’s dramatic, expressive, and packed with emotion. Just the way we like it.

And people are clearly paying attention. With over 4 million followers across social media and a completely sold-out global tour (yes, really), Joel’s heading into 2025 with serious momentum. The Star-bound Lovers tour kicks off this month, and unless you’ve already snagged a ticket, you might be out of luck. (There are still a few left for Sydney and Istanbul if you’re feeling spontaneous.)

A Soundtrack for Your Imagination

Joel describes his songwriting as “world-building,” crafting music that plays like a movie in your head. And it’s not just talk. His EP is pure cinema, blending pop, classical, and electronic elements into something transportive. Whether it’s the sweeping romance of ‘Parisian Lovers‘ or the intensity of ‘First Sight,’ each track tells its own story while fitting neatly into his larger, meticulously crafted universe.

Teaming up with creative director Cal McIntyre (The Last Dinner Party), Joel has turned his music into something visual, expanding his storytelling beyond sound. And given his ambitions to score actual films one day, this all feels like a warm-up for something even bigger.
