After her breakout hit, If We Ever Broke Up, which gave us all those funky, feel-good vibes, Mae Stephens is taking a step back to her roots with her new EP, Securely Insecure. Out now, the EP shows a different side of Mae, merging truthful lyrics with her signature vocals.
Lead single ‘Small Town Syndrome‘ captures the feeling of being stuck in a fishbowl, where everyone knows everyone’s business. “I can hear them talking, talking so loud,” Mae sings.
And if you’re into covers, Mae’s added her twist to Kings Of Leon’s classic ‘Use Somebody.’
From being a teenager working at Asda to topping the charts, Mae Stephens is on a journey of embracing her quirks and helping others find their voice, too.
