Harper, the prodigious 12-year-old powerhouse, is shaking things up with her latest track, ‘Bird In A Cage,’ following a show-stopping debut at Download Festival. She not only became the youngest performer ever at the iconic festival but also wowed the crowd with her talent and stage presence.
Harper, who gained viral fame with her mesmerising covers and a standout appearance on America’s Got Talent, continues to defy expectations in the metalcore scene. Her new single, co-written with Leo Valeri (Brand of Sacrifice) and Ben Lumber (Acres), explores themes of isolation and disappointment, showcasing her evolving musical range beyond intense screams.
“Bird In A Cage was written about feeling trapped and alone and being let down by the people who are close to you.” shares Harper excitedly. “This song is different to any song I’ve done before and I really wanted to show I can do more than just scream. It’s possibly my favourite song I’ve done to date!”
