Laneway sold out? Don’t stress, the sideshows are here
With Laneway Festival 2026 selling out in Sydney and Melbourne in under an hour (ouch), music fans across the country can breathe again because the Laneway Sideshows are officially locked in.
From BENEE to Cavetown, Mt. Joy, Gigi Perez, Geese, Oklou, Wisp, Malcolm Todd and Jensen McRae, this lineup reads like an indie fever dream. These intimate headline shows are your shot at catching the festival’s biggest names in smaller rooms. Sweaty, up close, and personal.
Presented by Handsome Tours, Laneway Presents, Astral People and triple j, the sideshows kick off in February 2026 (immediately after Laneway wraps) across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Wellington, and even Torquay.
BENEE’s long-awaited return
Six years after her last Laneway appearance, New Zealand’s own BENEE is back. Older, wiser, and still a bit weird (in the best way). Her new album ‘Ur An Angel I’m Just Particles’ drops November 7, and the new singles ‘Off The Rails’and ‘Cinnamon’ prove she’s still the reigning queen of chaotic alt-pop brilliance.
Catch her Sydney, Melbourne, and Torquay shows this February. Expect glitter, emotion, and possibly an existential crisis mid-set.
Cavetown headlines his biggest Australian shows yet
From uploading songs to YouTube at 15 to racking up billions of streams, Cavetown has gone from bedroom pop to generational comfort artist. His new record ‘Running With Scissors’ dives into family, identity, and adulthood, and his Laneway sideshows in Sydney (Enmore Theatre) and Melbourne (Palais Theatre) are set to sell out fast.
Geese bring chaos (and choir samples)
NYC’s Geese are finally landing in Australia, and if their album ‘Getting Killed’ is anything to go by, it’s going to be a beautiful mess. Imagine garage rock colliding with Ukrainian choirs and drum machines having a nervous breakdown. Catch them in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
Gigi Perez makes her Australian debut
After clocking 1.7 billion streams and hitting the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Sailor Song’, New Jersey-born Gigi Perez finally brings her moody, genre-blurring sound to Sydney and Melbourne. Expect tears, catharsis, and maybe a little chaos.
Jensen McRae, Malcolm Todd, Mt. Joy, Oklou & Wisp round out the dream roster
- Jensen McRae – LA’s lyrical heartbreaker finally brings her emotional folk-pop to Australia for the first time.
- Malcolm Todd – The ex–ice cream scooper turned viral pop prodigy, known for chaotic live energy (and Omar Apollo collabs).
- Mt. Joy – Indie-rock heroes fresh off selling out Madison Square Garden, making their long-awaited Aussie debut.
- Oklou – France’s surreal pop alchemist (and collaborator with Caroline Polachek and Sega Bodega) playing her first Aussie shows.
- Wisp – Shoegaze’s viral new queen, straight from Coachella and Camp Flog Gnaw, touring her debut album ‘If Not Winter’.
It’s a lineup that basically screams, “we could’ve headlined a festival on our own.”
