Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Teams Up With High-End Jewellery Designer Hannah Martin

High fashion meets high fantasy in this unexpected jewellery collab inspired by the year's best RPG

Here’s a collab we didn’t have on our 2025 mood board: surreal French RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has teamed up with British jewellery designer Hannah Martin, and the result is bluddy stunning.

Announced by French devs Sandfall Interactive and publisher Kepler Interactive, the partnership celebrates the characters of Expedition 33 through five digital jewellery pieces that blend brutalist edge with fine art elegance.

From console to catwalk (but, like, digitally)

The five pieces — inspired by characters Gustave, Lune, Sciel, Maelle, and Verso — were imagined in 18-carat gold and jet-black obsidian, channelling both the game’s lush, painterly aesthetic and Martin’s signature high-fashion energy. Yaaas, mama.

Sandfall then modelled them inside Unreal Engine 5, turning the collab into a visual feast that sits somewhere between fashion concept art and digital sculpture. They’re not wearable (yet?), but they are stunning.

Verso gets the IRL treatment

And because Martin doesn’t half-arse anything, she also handcrafted 33 physical necklaces based on the design for Verso — the poetic outsider of the group. Each piece is made in sterling silver, not mass-produced, and wasn’t made for profit.

They were gifted to community members, supporters, and artists as a thank-you — a rare and genuine gesture in an industry where “limited edition” usually just means “we only made 1,000 and they all sold out in five seconds.” This feels more like a keepsake. A secret handshake in silver.

A crossover that actually makes sense

Let’s be honest — most game/fashion crossovers either try too hard or phone it in. This one? It’s weird in the best way. It respects the game’s surreal tone and brings in an artist who clearly gives a damn about storytelling and form. It’s also refreshing to see the collaboration framed around creativity, not consumerism. There’s no merch drop, no loot box, no NFT weirdness. Just… art.

“This collaboration has been amazing,” says Martin, reflecting on her collaboration with Sandfall Interactive and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. “It is totally new territory for me, and I have loved being able to explore and push the boundaries between reality and unreality. It has been a constant dance between real world and fantasy.”
